In this series, Sue Perkins attempts to rebuild the Dinnington Colliery Band.
She visits the band and tries to encourage them to re-invent themselves and to recruit new members, to breathe new life into the brass band over 4 episodes.
This programme shows the interaction between a community band, formed from the coal mine workers which has now deteriorated into what it is today. It also shows the community engaging with a creative and media activity.
This show is a good example of how we can interact with our community groups, and how we can work with that group; in this programme Perkin's tries to reinvent the group, we could do something similar with ours.
